Are You Expecting Signs, Wonders and Miracles?
I thank God for His Presence this past weekend as John Laframboise ministered to us in signs, wonders and miracles. One man visited with us Sunday who had Macular Degeneration with no vision other than peripheral. By the end of the service, he could see clearly the video screens in the sanctuary. Another had back pain healed and another had an ear unstopped. We watched one night as a cancerous tumor reduced in size from a golf ball to a quarter and we are continuing to believe for complete removal of the malignancy. There were numerous testimonies of God’s healing touch.
Healing is not a new phenomenon to FCWC. We see healing miracles frequently in our services and in our healing rooms. We have a testimony of a lady who came into the Healing Rooms a couple of weeks ago who has Parkinson’s disease and since taking medications, has been seeing “images”. The Healing Room team prayed for this lady and her testimony is that she has not seen these “images” since. We have testimonies of back pain, heart conditions and various other sicknesses and diseases being healed by God.
The church of Jesus Christ is to be a church filled with the power of God. We are to be a people of signs, wonders and miracles because we are filled with the presence and power of God. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 3:16 Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? We are children of God and a part of His Kingdom here on the earth. Again the Apostle Paul assures us that God’s kingdom does not just come in word only, but in power. (I Cor. 4:20) Too often, Christians are great at talking but not so great at the demonstration of what they preach. This is not supposed to be.
We live in a world that needs to see the God of the Bible…a God of power, signs, wonders and miracles. Jesus walked in the miraculous and He says we are to do the same works He did. (John 14:12) This sounds good, but how does it happen?
It will happen in us the same as it happened in Jesus. All that He did flowed from His relationship with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Likewise, the life changing power that flows from us will flow out of our intimacy with the Father and our relationship with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in Matthew 10:24 24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. If we want what Jesus had, as He has promised we can have, then we have to receive it as He received it. He was One with the Father and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. We too can have this relationship and this power. (John 14:23; Acts 1:8)
Can we believe that WE can work signs, wonders and miracles in our life? There are many who are lost, sick, diseased, depressed, oppressed and dying who need the life giving power of God in their lives. Are we willing to say “Lord, use me”? Are we willing to say “Lord, I’ll do what it takes to have you operating through my life”? Are we willing to move outside of what is convenient for the sake of others? Are we willing to take our focus off of ourselves and place it upon another?
As we begin our weekly time of prayer and fasting, I believe we will see 3 things happen:
1. The veil will be pulled from the eyes of believers to the fullness of God’s truth and power
2. Our hearts will become broken and one with Him
3. We will develop Passion with Compassion
God wants to move mightily in our lives. Let’s be those willing vessels who can say, “Lord, use me!”.
