The Gifts of The Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 1:4-8   4 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus, 5 that in everything you were enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge, 6 even as the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed in you, 7 so that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, 8 who will also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This letter was written by the Apostle Paul to all those who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus.   This means this promise is for you and I as well as the saints of Corinth.   What a great promise we have that our lives have been enriched with all the spiritual gifts of God.

The word “gift” is the word “Charisma” and means the gift of grace.   God has graced our lives with His spiritual gifts.   What do you need to receive this week from the Lord.   Do you need wisdom, then He has graced your life with wisdom.     In James 1:5 we are told “ 5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” So ask God for the wisdom you need and you will receive it.

If you lack peace, He has graced your life with the promise of His peace.

In Philippians 4:6-7 we are told 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. “ If you need peace, then bring your problem before the Lord and then trust Him to work it out in your life.   I have personally used this Scripture many times in my life to gain the peace I needed at a particular time.

Whatever your need, there is a promise from God to grace your life with the provision.   Examine His Word daily and then apply it to your life and watch God move in your life.   He delights in providing for all our need because He is a loving and compassionate Father.

Remember, 1 Corinthians 1:9   9 God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Have a Jesus filled week!
